National Men’s Health Month – Movember
Did you know that November is National Men’s Health Month, also known as Movember? Why Movember? Because it combines the words “Moustache” and “November.” It began as a movement encouraging men to grow mustaches during November. This month is about raising awareness for men’s health issues and encouraging them to take charge of their physical and mental well-being.
One exciting development in healthcare today is the increasing number of male Clinical Medical Assistants. It’s no longer just a female-dominated field; men are making significant contributions and playing vital roles in patient care. This shift demonstrates that anyone, regardless of gender, can excel in this profession.
At the Laurel Highlands Workforce & Opportunity Center (LHWOC), we offer an excellent Clinical Medical Assistant Program. This program is perfect for those interested in pursuing a career in healthcare. It provides valuable skills and opens doors to a promising future with plenty of opportunities for growth and advancement.
Movember reminds men to prioritize their health and support one another in this journey. For example, playing a sport together and having a group chat is a great way to stay connected. Imagine one of your friends goes through a challenging medical situation. Having a buddy to rely on can make a big difference.
So, whether you’re a woman or man contemplating a new healthcare career or want to make healthier choices, now is the time to act. For you ladies, why not encourage the male figure in your life to try out a career in healthcare? Let’s work together to challenge the stereotype that being a Clinical Medical Assistant is solely a female profession and highlight men’s essential role in this field.
We’re here to guide you toward a fulfilling career while inspiring others to focus on their health. Please remember that this program is tuition-free for those who qualify.
This Movember, let’s take the initiative to enhance our health and encourage the men in our lives to do the same! If you want to learn more about becoming a Clinical Medical Assistant, please fill out our contact form or call us at 724-454-3050,
